NOC discusses with Zallaf Libya the development of the Atshan field.
Pulbished on:Tripoli, 11 August 2025 (Lana) During a technical meeting held yesterday at the National Oil Corporation’s (NOC) headquarters in Tripoli, the technical and financial departments of the NOC discussed the overall activities of the Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Exploration, Production, and Refining Company for 2025, future projects, the production plan, and the proposed budget for 2026.
During the meeting, Zallaf Libya presented its plan to develop the Atshan field, which is expected to produce 140 million cubic feet of gas per day in the coming years, which will contribute to enhancing gas supplies, meeting local market needs, and supporting the national economy.
The company also reviewed its achievements this year, including the start of production in January from the Shadar field, which currently produces 2,500 barrels of crude oil per day and approximately 9 million cubic feet of associated gas per day.
The meeting was attended by directors of the corporation's technical departments, members of the Zallaf Company's management committee, and technical and financial specialists from both sides, in addition to representatives from Libya Technology and Al-Jawf companies and the Oil Research Center.
