Dabaiba and Tetteh review details of the UN mission's plan to support dialogue between Libyan parties.

Tripoli, August 10, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, discussed on Sunday the mission's plan to support the political process with the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), Hannah Tetteh.
The Prime Minister's media office stated that during the meeting, Tetteh reviewed the details of the mission's plan aimed at supporting dialogue between the Libyan parties, contributing to the end of the transitional phases through a solid legal and constitutional foundation that ensures the success of the political process and paves the way for the holding of free and transparent elections that enjoy broad acceptance.
According to the office, both sides emphasized the importance of mobilizing local support from all national forces, and international support from regional and international partners, to ensure a consensual and stable environment, enabling the implementation of electoral requirements in a safe and stable atmosphere.
The Prime Minister's office stated that the government stressed its commitment to supporting any dialogue process aimed at enhancing stability and expanding national participation, considering that preserving the functioning of state institutions and the continued provision of services is an important guarantee for the success of any political agreement.
