Libyan Najwa Al-Korbo wins third place globally in the Malaysian International Quran Memorization Competition.

Kuala Lumpur, August 10, 2025 (LANA) – Libyan contestant Najwa Ali Zidan Al-Korbo won third place in the female Quran memorization category of the 2025 Malaysia International Quran Competition, with a score of 95.51%.
The Libyan Embassy in Kuala Lumpur stated on its official page that the competition was held in Kuala Lumpur from August 2 to 9, with the participation of 71 male and female contestants from 49 countries, including Libya, along with members of the judging panel from 12 countries.
The closing ceremony of the competition included honoring the top three winners from each category by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, in the presence of the Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament, the Malaysian Minister of Religious Affairs, the Head of the Malaysian Islamic Affairs Department, the Imam of the Prophet's Mosque in Medina, and heads and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Malaysia.
It is noteworthy that the Bani Walid Municipal Council extended its congratulations to student Najwa Ali Zaydan Al-Kurbo on winning third place globally in the Malaysian International Award for the Complete Memorization of the Holy Quran, congratulating her on this honorable Quranic achievement.
