Tripoli, August 8, 2025 (LANA) – The Undersecretary General of the Ministry of Health in the Government of National Unity, acting Minister, Mohammed Al-Ghouj, discussed with the Serbian Ambassador to Libya, Rodjan Dodorovic, prospects for bilateral cooperation in the health sector.

During a meeting held in Tripoli yesterday, the two sides discussed activating the memoranda of understanding signed between the two sides, expanding areas of partnership to include the exchange of doctors and training in the fields of general medicine and emergency medicine, the exchange of professors between academic institutions, and the implementation of twinning programs between hospitals.

The meeting also touched on the development of specialized nursing programs, cooperation in the fields of pharmaceutical manufacturing, training in clinical pharmacy, and pharmaceutical inspection.

The two parties agreed to organize and exchange technical visits and to form a Libyan technical delegation to visit Serbia in the coming period to follow up on the implementation of joint programs and explore opportunities for practical cooperation.
