Al-Abed monitors the deportation procedures of migrant workers.

Tripoli, August 5, 2025 (LANA) - Ali Al-Abed, Minister of Labor and Rehabilitation in the Government of National Unity, stressed the importance of ongoing coordination between the ministry and security agencies, primarily the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency, to ensure the implementation of laws regulating the labor market and to reduce the phenomenon of irregular labor, which affects security and social stability within the country.

This came during a field visit today, Tuesday, to the headquarters of the Anti-Illegal Migration Agency in Tripoli to review the deportation procedures for a number of illegal workers who were arrested during an inspection tour conducted by the Minister last week, which targeted residential areas for migrant workers.

The Minister indicated that today's deportation operations are part of a series of integrated legal measures aimed at regulating the work environment, restricting expatriate workers, and ensuring their compliance with applicable regulations. He emphasized the continuation of the inspection campaign in cooperation with various relevant agencies.
