Al-Menfi meets with the Iranian First Vice President in Turkmenistan.

Tripoli, 5 August 2025 (Lana) President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, met yesterday at his residence in the city of Awaza, Türkmenbaşy, Turkmenistan, with First Vice President of Iran, Mohammad Reza Aref, on the sidelines of the Third UN Conference on Developing Countries, held in Turkmenistan.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between Libya and Iran, mechanisms for activating joint committees, particularly in the economic areas, and developments related to the conditions of civilians in Gaza, as well as ways to halt the aggression and resume relief efforts for the besieged Palestinian people.

The Vice President conveyed an invitation from the Iranian President to President Al-Menfi to visit Tehran as soon as possible, within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
