Tripoli, August 4, 2025 (LANA) – Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi, met today, Monday, in Tripoli, with the Chairman of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, following his election as Chairman of the Council in recent days.
The Presidential Council's media office stated that the meeting addressed a number of current national issues, most notably the political deadlock. The meeting emphasized the importance of advancing towards addressing this stalemate through more effective and dynamic coordination between the executive and legislative authorities.
According to the office, the two sides emphasized the need for concerted efforts and integrated roles between the two councils, which will positively impact the political process and contribute to achieving the Libyan people's aspirations for stability and overcoming the challenges hindering progress on sovereign and executive issues.
