Ajdabiya, August 2, 2025 (LANA) - The Ajdabiya Security Directorate announced the seizure of large quantities of fuel intended for illegal smuggling.
The directorate stated that the Investigation and Arrest Unit of the Security Affairs Assistant managed to seize (253) 60-liter gallons filled with gasoline, hidden inside a farm in the city of Ajdabiya, and prepared for illegal smuggling.
The directorate indicated, through its media office, that the operation came after receiving accurate information indicating the presence of a quantity of fuel stored illegally. Necessary measures were taken, and a tight security ambush was set up, resulting in a raid on the site and the seizure of the aforementioned quantity.
The Ajdabiya Security Directorate affirmed its continued implementation of its security plans aimed at combating the phenomenon of fuel smuggling, warning of the danger of these illegal acts.
