US official: We discussed conflicts in Libya, Sudan, and Africa with Minister Al-Khalifi

Washington, August 2, 2025 (LANA) – US Presidential Advisor for African Affairs, Massad Boulos, discussed ongoing efforts to resolve conflicts on the African continent, particularly the Libyan crisis, with Qatari Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Al-Khulaifi, during a meeting in Washington, DC.

Boulos tweeted, "I was honored to meet the Qatari Minister of State in Washington. We discussed the importance of achieving lasting peace in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, in addition to efforts to resolve conflicts in Sudan, Libya, and the region as a whole."

The meeting comes amid regional and international diplomatic efforts aimed at supporting the paths of calm and dialogue in Libya.
