Tripoli, August 2, 2025 (LANA) – US Presidential Advisor for African Affairs, Masad Boulos, discussed regional developments, most notably the crisis in Libya, with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aty. The meeting discussed ways to cooperate on several priority issues for both sides.
Boulos tweeted on his official X account on Friday evening, "In my meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdel Aty, we focused on the efforts being made to resolve the crises in Sudan, Libya, and other regional conflicts. We emphasized the importance of our sustainable partnership on a set of shared priorities."
This meeting comes within the framework of ongoing international and regional efforts to support the political process in Libya and achieve sustainable stability in the region, amid efforts led by the United Nations and several international and regional parties.
