Libyan Embassy: Completing procedures for disbursing scholarships to students sent to Egypt

Cairo, August 01, 2025 (LANA) – The Libyan Embassy in Cairo announced the completion of procedures for disbursing scholarships to Libyan students sent to study in the Arab Republic of Egypt at the state's expense for the first quarter of 2025, noting that the funds have been deposited into the beneficiary students' accounts.

The embassy confirmed, in a post on its official Facebook page, that this step came following a meeting held by Ambassador Abdul Mutalib Thabet, Acting Head of the Libyan Embassy and Permanent Representative of Libya to the League of Arab States, with the President of the Union of Libyan Students Studying in Egypt, to follow up on the students' conditions and resolve the financial issues they face.

Ambassador Thabet stressed that disbursing the scholarships at this time reflects the embassy's commitment to supporting students and ensuring the continuity of their educational journey, noting that "creating appropriate conditions for students contributes to enhancing their academic achievement and reducing the challenges they may face."

It is worth noting that the Libyan Embassy continues its efforts to provide the necessary support to Libyan students abroad, within the framework of ongoing monitoring by the competent authorities in the country to ensure their academic and living rights.
