Tripoli, August 01, 2025 (LANA) – The Government of National Unity confirmed that Istanbul, Turkey, will host a tripartite summit today, Friday, bringing together Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

A government statement said that the summit will address strategic issues of common interest, most notably economic cooperation and development in the Mediterranean region, strengthening partnerships in the energy and oil sectors, and the issue of irregular migration and its repercussions on regional security and stability.

The statement indicated that this summit comes within the framework of ongoing coordination between Libya, Turkey, and Italy, with the aim of promoting joint approaches that serve the interests of the peoples of the region and contribute to supporting stability and international cooperation.
