Pretrial detention for the perpetrators of the murder of citizen Nasser Salem Al-Amami

Tripoli, August 01, 2025 (LANA) – The Public Prosecution's Investigative Authority ordered the pretrial detention of the perpetrators of the murder of citizen Nasser Salem Al-Amami.

The Public Prosecutor's Office stated that after the Ajdabiya Security Directorate received a report about the murder of the victim, the mutilation of his body, and the execution of the victim by fire, and after initial procedures revealed the identities of three suspects, the Information and Communications Affairs Control Department at the Public Prosecutor's Office tracked them down until judicial police officers were able to arrest them.

The Office explained that after hearing the suspects' statements, the judicial police officer referred them to the Public Prosecution, which confronted them with the reality of their intent to kill the victim, demonstrated by their behavior, which included preventing him from moving, and wrapping a leash around his neck until he died. Therefore, it was decided to detain them pending investigation.
