Shakshak concludes official visit to Türkiye to enhance regulatory cooperation

Ankara, August 01, 2025 (LANA) – A delegation from the Libyan Audit Bureau, headed by Khaled Shakshak, concluded an official visit to Turkey. During the visit, they met with the Turkish Court of Accounts, headed by Metin Yaner, as part of strengthening cooperation ties and activating the partnership agreement signed between the two sides in 2020.

The visit included discussions on several technical topics and a review of mechanisms for exchanging expertise and experiences, which will contribute to developing audit tools and methods and enshrining the principles of transparency and accountability.

On the sidelines of the visit, the President of the Audit Bureau met with the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade, and a number of department directors. They emphasized the depth of bilateral relations and the importance of the role played by audit bodies in supporting development paths, enhancing trade exchange, and promoting good governance in both countries.
