Tripoli, July 30, 2025 (LANA) – The Libyan Customs Authority has called on all travelers arriving and departing through land, sea, and air ports to adhere to the controls on carrying cash.
The Authority clarified in a notice posted on its Facebook page that travelers are allowed to carry an amount not exceeding 200 Libyan dinars, and foreign currency not exceeding 10,000 US dollars or its equivalent in other foreign currencies.
The Authority emphasized that if these limits are exceeded, the amount must be declared in a customs declaration and submitted upon entry or departure. It noted that failure to declare excess amounts is a violation that exposes the perpetrator to accountability.
