Tripoli, July 30, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Taher Al-Baour, discussed with a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs ways to strengthen bilateral relations and prospects for joint cooperation in various fields.
This came during a meeting held today in the presence of the Director of the Arab Department at the Ministry and the Libyan Chargé d'Affaires to Syria.
Al-Baour emphasized the depth of the fraternal relations between Libya and Syria, and the Ministry's keenness to develop them to serve the common interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
The two sides emphasized the importance of reactivating diplomatic activity between the two countries, through the reopening of the Syrian embassy in the capital, Tripoli, which reflects the deep historical ties that unite the two countries.
The two sides also stressed the importance of continuing consultation and coordination on issues of common interest, supporting the path of Arab cooperation, and strengthening solidarity between brotherly countries.
