Tripoli 30 July 2025 (Lana) Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, emphasized the importance of these consultations between the 6+6 Committee and the Advisory Committee in fostering Libyan ownership of the political process.
This came during her participation in a meeting organized by the UNSMIL yesterday in Tripoli between the two committees to exchange ideas on possible amendments for an implementable constitutional and legal framework for elections.
Tetteh noted that these discussions will inform UNSMIL's decisions ahead of the roadmap announcement during the upcoming Security Council briefing.
The mission stated that the two committees are scheduled to reconvene today to continue their discussions.
