Al-Baour meets with Japanese Ambassador..

Tripoli, July 28, 2025 (LANA) – The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, discussed this Monday morning with the Japanese Ambassador to Libya, Shimura Izuru, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
The meeting, held at the Ministry's headquarters in the capital, Tripoli, and attended by the Director of the Asia and Australia Department at the Ministry, Hassan bin Rabha, addressed arrangements related to Libya's participation in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9), scheduled to be held next August in Yokohama, Japan.
During the meeting, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries in various fields, in support of efforts to achieve stability in Libya and contribute to advancing development.
The two sides also stressed the need to continue joint consultation and coordination, and to work to expand the horizons of political, economic, and development cooperation, in a manner that reflects the depth of relations between the two countries and serves common interests.
