Tripoli, 28 July 2025 (Lana) Special Representative of the Secretary-General, Hanna Tetteh, and the Ambassador of France to Libya, Mostafa Mihraje, called for all actors to maintain calm and stability while constructively engaging with UNSMIL’s efforts to move forward with the political process.

This came during a meeting held by Tetteh with the Ambassador as he prepared to leave his post to discuss recent political and security developments in Libya, according to UNSMIL in a tweet.

They also stressed the importance of international coordination, building on the 20 June meeting of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya in Berlin, including the plan to hold a co-chairs retreat in Tripoli.
