The Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance agree to automatically disburse salaries starting next September.

Tripoli, July 27, 2025 (LANA) – Governor of the Central Bank of Libya (CBL), Naji Issa, discussed on Sunday with the Minister of Finance in the Government of National Unity, Khaled Al-Mabrouk, the implementation of public sector salaries and the Ministry of Finance's digital transformation projects. They also discussed the design and development of a unified treasury account system.

The CBL stated on its official page that the two sides discussed several joint projects aimed at ensuring harmonized monetary and fiscal policies that contribute to improving the overall economic situation.

During the meeting, the two parties agreed to begin the immediate and automatic disbursement of public sector salaries for all sectors, starting with the September salaries.

The CBL explained that joint working groups will be formed between it and the Ministry of Finance to move forward with the implementation of modern digital transformation methods.
