Tripoli, July 26, 2025 (LANA) – The Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Libya (SRSG), Hanna Tetteh, met on Friday with the Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Libya, Richard Kadeljak.

The mission reported in a post on its Facebook page that the meeting exchanged views on current political, economic, and security developments in Libya.

The two sides emphasized the importance of institutions based on the rule of law to achieve stability and sustainable peace. The mission added that the two sides agreed on the importance of international coordination mechanisms based on the meeting of the International Follow-up Committee on Libya held in Berlin on June 20, including a plan to hold a retreat for the co-chairs by the end of July and before the mission announces the political roadmap.

The Czech ambassador expressed his country's full support for a Libyan-led and owned political process, facilitated by the United Nations, leading to national elections and unified institutions.
