Benghazi, July 26, 2025 (LANA) – The House of Representatives considered the humanitarian catastrophe and severe famine facing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip a crime and a clear violation of all international and humanitarian norms and conventions.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the House of Representatives said that the systematic denial of food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, as well as the deliberate deprivation of millions of civilians of their most basic rights, constitutes a crime against humanity. This requires a firm and urgent stance from the international community, far removed from double standards and shameful silence.
The House called on the international community, with all its bodies, especially the Security Council and the United Nations, to immediately cease the war and take binding measures to lift the unjust blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip and allow the entry of humanitarian aid without restrictions or conditions.
In its statement, the House also called on Arab, Islamic, and international parliaments to take bolder and clearer positions befitting the magnitude of the disaster facing a defenseless people. It also called on all free people around the world to take urgent action to provide relief to the victims, expose the crimes of the occupation, and expose the suspicious international silence.
