Tripoli, July 26, 2025 (LANA) – The US Embassy in Libya has categorically denied what has been circulated in some media outlets and social media regarding allegations that the United States intends to transfer residents of the Gaza Strip to Libyan territory.

The embassy confirmed, in a brief statement published on its official account on X on Friday, that these allegations are "incitement and completely false," stressing that they fall within the category of fake news.

The embassy said: "Fake news: The embassy confirms that the allegations that the United States is seeking to transfer residents of Gaza to Libya are incitement and completely false."

These statements come within the framework of an official denial of what the embassy described as attempts to mislead and spread inaccurate information aimed at inciting public opinion.
