Al-Sour reviews with a European delegation the Irini operation and its objectives.

Tripoli, July 23, 2025 (LANA) – Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour met today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, with the Head of the European Union Mission to Libya, the Commander of the European Union Naval Force (Irini), and his Deputy. The meeting was attended by a number of Partnership and Cooperation Advisors at the European External Action Service.
The Attorney General's Office explained that the meeting reviewed the mandate and objectives of Operation Irini, as well as the requirements for initiating effective bilateral cooperation to prevent fuel smuggling, arms trafficking, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and environmental crimes. It also aimed to arrange for the exchange of information on the activities of groups engaged in these activities.
