Dbaiba meets with Mas'ad Boulos.

Tripoli, July 23, 2025 (LANA) – Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, discussed on Wednesday in Tripoli with Mas'ad Boulos, US President Donald Trump's advisor for African affairs, who is visiting Libya, ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and follow up on prospects for the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The Prime Minister's Media Office stated that the meeting discussed opportunities for joint cooperation in the fields of energy, minerals, infrastructure, health, and communications. Dbaiba affirmed the Government of National Unity's keenness to build economic partnerships with the United States, opening the way for major American companies to participate in development and investment projects.
The office explained that the government team presented a detailed presentation on the aspects of the Libyan strategic economic partnership, estimated at approximately $70 billion, including ready-made projects in the energy, minerals, electricity, infrastructure, and communications sectors, enabling organized and direct entry of American investment into the Libyan market. Developments in the oil sector were also discussed, particularly regarding opportunities available in new offshore and onshore oil fields, and efforts to enhance transparency and achieve sustainable returns within the framework of energy sector stability.
According to the office, the meeting addressed developments in the Palestinian issue. The Prime Minister expressed Libya's strong condemnation of the crimes, starvation, and ongoing aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza, stressing the need for an immediate end to the aggression, lifting the blockade, and sparing civilians the scourge of war.
The office reported that Counselor Mas'ad Boulos expressed the US administration's support for stability efforts in Libya, affirming Washington's interest in continuing coordination and expanding areas of cooperation with the Government of National Unity.
