Tripoli, July 21, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the Audit Bureau, Khaled Shakshak, discussed on Monday with the European Union Ambassador to Libya, Nicolas Orland, ways to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting, which was held at the Bureau's headquarters in Tripoli and attended by a number of officials from the Bureau's relevant departments, discussed the programs and projects implemented by the European Union Mission in Libya. The meeting emphasized the need for prior coordination regarding these programs, in line with the Bureau's strategic plan, and to contribute to developing its oversight role and building institutional capacity.

The two sides also stressed the importance of consolidating the principles of good governance and strengthening the independence of sovereign institutions in Libya, especially the Audit Bureau, affirming their commitment to continued coordination and cooperation in this regard.
