Tripoli, 21 July 2025 (Lana) The World Health Organization (WHO) commended the role of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) in directing its resources to support humanitarian and sustainable development issues in Libya, primarily protecting the lives of children and supporting their families, emphasizing that Libya has become a pivotal country in the Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer Control (GICC).
The NOC is collaborating with the WHO, Reysol, Total, and Eni to implement the "Improving Health Outcomes for Children with Cancer in Libya" project within the framework of the WHO (GICC).
This partnership has contributed to the development of an advanced national digital platform for registering and tracking childhood cancer cases, helping to accelerate diagnosis, improve the quality of care, and expand access to treatment across Libya.
The NOC reiterated its commitment to continuing to support health and social projects as part of its sustainable development strategy and its ongoing efforts to contribute to building a healthy and secure future for Libya's children.
