Tripoli, July 20, 2025 (LANA) – The Director of the General Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions at the Ministry of Interior, Major General Hassan Al-Sharif, held a meeting this Sunday morning at the department's headquarters with the security attaché at the French Embassy in Libya.

The Ministry of Interior reported that the meeting discussed security arrangements related to the opening of the French Consulate General in the coming period.

The meeting also addressed coordination of procedures for the end of the current ambassador's term and the reception of the new ambassador.

The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening joint security cooperation and intensifying efforts to secure diplomatic missions according to the highest security standards.
