Benghazi, July 12, 2025 (LANA) – The Minister of Interior in the parliament-appointed government, Major General Essam Abu Zriba, discussed with the Director of the General Department for the Protection of Diplomatic Missions, Major General Ziad Nasser Al-Hassi, the security plan for securing embassies and consulates, and the proposed vision for their locations.

During the meeting, the Minister received the Department's work report for 2024, along with the semi-annual report for 2025, which included the most notable tasks accomplished and the stages of implementing the general plan for the protection of diplomatic missions, embassies, and consulates accredited within the country during the past period.

Major General Abu Zriba praised the efforts made by the Department and its staff, stressing the need to enhance cooperation with various relevant parties to ensure the highest standards of security and safety for diplomatic missions within the country.
