The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity inaugurates new departments at the Misrata Medical Center.

Misrata, July 12, 2025 (LANA) – The Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdul Hamid Dabaiba, inaugurated several new medical departments at the Misrata Medical Center on Saturday, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to develop the health sector and enhance specialized medical services.
The new departments included: a women's health department, a dermatology and venereology department, a psychiatry department, a pathology and histology department, and an operating room for neurosurgery, as part of a comprehensive plan to develop the center.
During the visit, the Prime Minister listened to a detailed presentation on the center's components and the services it provides, as well as a review of future development plans, which include expanding some existing departments and adding new medical facilities, aimed at enhancing the center's capacity to respond to growing needs.
In his speech, Dabaiba emphasized that the Government of National Unity places great importance on the health sector and continues to support various health facilities across the country with the aim of improving the level of services and localizing treatment within Libya. He also stressed the importance of developing medical personnel and providing the necessary capabilities to meet citizens' needs.
The Prime Minister conducted a field tour of the new buildings and departments, where he reviewed the equipment and work mechanisms in place. He listened to explanations from the administrative and medical staff regarding the departments' readiness, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made to improve health services and expand the scope of medical care.
