Al-Baour is briefed on the situation of the Libyan mission and community in Egypt.

Cairo, July 11, 2025 (LANA) – Taher Al-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, conducted a field visit to the headquarters of the Libyan Permanent Delegation to the League of Arab States in Egypt to follow up on the progress of work and assess the conditions of Libyan missions and the community residing in Egypt.

During the visit, Al-Baour was briefed on the work mechanism at the Delegation and received a briefing from diplomatic staff on the progress of activities and ongoing files. He also reviewed the efforts made to provide services to Libyan citizens.

Al-Baour also met with the President of the Union of Libyan Students Studying in Egypt and listened to their most prominent needs and observations. He emphasized the Ministry's full support for Libyan students abroad and the need to find sustainable solutions to the problems they face.

During the visit, Al-Baour monitored the conditions of the Libyan community in Egypt and was briefed on the conditions of Libyan patients receiving treatment. Ways to improve services provided to them and overcome the obstacles they face were discussed, in cooperation with the relevant authorities.

Al-Baour also made an inspection visit to the memorial commemorating the founding of the Libyan Army in Cairo, and reviewed its general condition. He emphasized the importance of its regular maintenance and preservation as a national symbol representing the history and sacrifices of the Libyan people.
