Istanbul, July 11, 2025 (LANA) – The Libyan Embassy in Turkey announced that Minor Criminal Court No. (48) in Istanbul issued a decision on July 11, 2025, to release citizen Othman Al-Zaalouk, after it was determined that there were no other cases against him.

The embassy explained in a statement today, Friday, that this decision was based on the legal findings and technical expertise report reached by the competent court. It noted that it has been closely following the case of Libyan citizen Othman Al-Hussein Al-Zaalouk, who is being detained in Istanbul, from the very beginning, in coordination with the Consulate General and the assigned law firm.

The Libyan Embassy in Turkey affirmed its full commitment to protecting the rights of Libyan citizens and following up on their legal cases to ensure justice and fairness.
