Al-Tarabulsi: The Ministry of Interior is working at a high pace and is present in all parts of Libya.

Tripoli, July 9, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Interior of the Government of National Unity, Major General Imad al-Tarabulsi, affirmed that the Ministry, as the official security institution, is operating at a high pace and is present throughout Libya. It is the body relied upon to enforce security and stability.
This came during a ceremony marking the handover of (800) motor vehicles to support the Ministry of Interior's components, as part of the implementation of its comprehensive security plan. The ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Public Affairs, along with heads of departments and agencies, directors of departments, security directors, a number of officers and non-commissioned officers, and a large gathering of attendees.
In his speech, the Minister stressed the importance of rebuilding the security institution, represented by the Ministry of Interior, to ensure the protection of citizens and the preservation of the nation's security and stability.
The Minister of Interior stated that the security directorates are the competent authorities and will enforce security on the ground.
He added that the streets and squares are witnessing a remarkable return of police officers after a period of absence. Police stations are now receiving citizens' complaints and issuing reports, indicating the restoration of an effective security role.
The delivery of the vehicles included the security directorates of Tajoura, Al-Marqab, Zliten, Misrata, Bani Walid, and Tarhuna, with all their components, in addition to the General Directorate of Central Support, the General Directorate of Training, and the General Directorate of Ports Security, according to the Ministry of Interior.
