Tripoli, July 7, 2025 (LANA) - Attorney General Al-Siddiq Al-Sour met today, Monday, in Tripoli, with the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Libya, Stephanie Khoury.

The Attorney General's Office stated that the meeting addressed an evaluation of the performance of correctional and rehabilitation institutions and the extent to which they apply national and international standards in administering the sentences they are entrusted with.

Al-Sour and Khoury also reviewed the results of a review of the conditions of inmates at the Tripoli Main Correctional and Rehabilitation Institution and discussed the legal status of individuals arrested while the Deterrence Force was carrying out its activities to combat terrorism and organized crime.
