Tripoli, June 5, 2025 (LANA) – Presidential Council member Musa Al-Koni stressed that the withdrawal of foreign forces from Libya is a popular demand and a top priority in efforts to unify the country and achieve consensus among the nation's people. He welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's call to withdraw these forces.
Al-Koni said in a tweet posted on his account on the X platform, "While I welcome President El-Sisi's call to withdraw foreign forces from Libya, I stress that this is a fundamental demand of the people, a foundation for the most important step toward resolving the Libyan crisis, and a top priority in efforts to unify the country and achieve consensus among the nation."
He added, "I call on Libyan and international parties to quickly achieve this as a unified reality for the nation."
