Tripoli, June 4, 2025 (LANA) – The Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Abdel Moneim Al-Mariami was injured after jumping across the stairwell while he was at the Public Prosecution building for questioning regarding incidents attributed to him by the Internal Security Service.

The Public Prosecutor's Office said in a statement issued Thursday night that the Public Prosecution received evidence from the Internal Security Service on Thursday, which included incidents attributed to Abdel Moneim Al-Mariami. After questioning him, the investigator decided to release him.

The statement explained that while he was waiting for his family to be notified to come and pick him up, he headed out and jumped across the stairwell to the ground floor, resulting in injuries that required hospitalization.

The statement indicated that the Public Prosecution began recording surveillance camera footage and proceeding to the hospital to assess the injured man's condition and hear the statements of those present regarding the incident.
