Tripoli, July 2, 2025 (LANA) - President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Menfi, affirmed the Council's keenness to expand the horizons of international cooperation and openness to various international partners, within the framework of mutual respect and common interests.
This came during his reception at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli of a delegation from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Marcel de Vink, and including the official responsible for the Libyan file at the Dutch Foreign Ministry, Farima Mowafi, and the Dutch Ambassador to Libya, Joost Klarenbeek.
During the meeting, according to the President of the Council's media office, Menfi praised the positive role played by the Kingdom of the Netherlands in supporting stability in Libya.
The meeting addressed the strong bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and reviewed prospects for developing them in various fields, particularly in the political, economic, and security fields, in a way that strengthens the strategic partnership and serves common interests.
The two sides discussed the latest developments in Libya and discussed ways to support the political process, advance stability efforts, and emphasize the importance of supporting the national dialogue and elections. They also discussed the human rights file and cooperation in the field of transitional justice and sustainable development.
