Al-Baour meets with Dutch Ambassador and Deputy Foreign Minister.

Tripoli, July 2, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, discussed on Wednesday with Marcel de Vink, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, and Joost Klarenbeek, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Libya, strengthening cooperation relations between Libya and the Netherlands.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the meeting discussed strengthening the existing partnership between the two countries and expanding the horizons of bilateral cooperation in various areas of common interest, particularly in the political, economic, and developmental fields, in addition to supporting efforts to consolidate stability in Libya.

The meeting also addressed a number of issues, most notably assistance in lifting sanctions on Libyan airlines, capacity-building support in the areas of human rights, justice, and international relations, support for efforts to deliver urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, and efforts to achieve a ceasefire.

The two sides stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation on regional and international issues of common interest, in a manner that serves the interests of the two friendly countries.
