Electoral Commission's awareness ambassadors continue their campaigns.

Pulbished on:

Tripoli, July 2, 2025 (LANA) - The Electoral Commission's awareness ambassadors, under the supervision of the Commission's Women's Support Unit, continue to implement field awareness campaigns in the targeted municipalities for the second group of the 2025 municipal council elections. This campaign coincides with the launch of the voter card distribution phase, a pivotal step in the electoral process.

These campaigns aim to raise citizens' awareness of the importance of receiving a voter card as a prerequisite for participating in the elections. Activities carried out by the ambassadors include field visits to neighborhoods and markets, awareness lectures, direct dialogue sessions with citizens, and interviews on local radio stations.

The ambassadors provided simplified explanations of the steps for receiving the card and the location of distribution centers, in addition to answering citizens' inquiries regarding the electoral process and its stages.

These efforts come after specialized training the ambassadors received under the supervision of the Women's Support Unit, focusing on communication skills and electoral awareness, enabling them to play an effective role in enhancing citizens' confidence in the electoral process and increasing participation rates.

The "Awareness Ambassadors" project, launched in 2019, is one of the Commission's most prominent initiatives to engage women in public life. The ambassadors played a pivotal role in increasing voter registration rates during previous elections, and today they continue their vital role in ensuring the success of the voter card distribution phase, a fundamental step towards fair and inclusive municipal elections.
