Tripoli, June 30, 2025 (LANA) - The Chairman of the Administrative Control Authority, Abdullah Qaderbouh, held an expanded meeting today, Monday, attended by the Minister of Labor and Civil Service, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, and the committees responsible for releases in the two ministries. The meeting was held to follow up on the implementation of the Authority's Circular No. (1) of 2025 regarding the suspension of appointment and contracting procedures in public agencies, and to identify the challenges and difficulties facing them.
The meeting also discussed proposed solutions to address previous procedures. Data on the releases recorded in the system was reviewed, covering approximately 210,000 employees, 94,775 of whom were released. The validity of the procedures for another 92,182 employees was verified. The Chairman of the Authority authorized the referral of their files to the Council of Ministers to provide the necessary financial allocations.
Qaderbouh emphasized the need to address the backlog of previous appointments, emphasizing that employees should not be held responsible for the consequences of administrative errors, especially in cases where stable legal positions have been established.
During the meeting, the Authority Chairman announced the preparation of Circular No. (2) of 2025, which stipulates the lifting of restrictions on employment, provided that the approved legal controls and procedures are fully adhered to.
