Tripoli, June 30, 2025 (LANA) - The Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the Government of National Unity, Taher Al-Baour, discussed on Monday with Sophie Kimkhaddze, Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Libya, ways to enhance joint cooperation between Libya and UNDP, particularly in the areas of stabilization support, strengthening governance, sustainable development, and institutional capacity building.

During the meeting, the importance of continuing the existing partnership between the two sides was emphasized, which contributes to supporting the priorities of the Libyan government, achieving development goals, and enhancing responses to the economic and social challenges facing the country.

Al-Baour affirmed Libya's appreciation for the effective role played by the UNDP in supporting recovery and stabilization efforts, reiterating Libya's commitment to constructive cooperation with its international partners to serve national interests and achieve comprehensive development.
