Tripoli 29 June 2025 (Lana) National Oil Corporation (NOC) affirmed its commitment to implementing exploration programs to protect Libya's sovereign rights and national interests in exploring and developing hydrocarbon resources, including those located in the Eastern Mediterranean.

In a statement today, the NOC said, "In light of recent repercussions related to maritime borders and energy cooperation in the region, it affirms that all agreements and partnerships concluded by the Libyan state are based on the principles of international law and serve the long-term strategic interests of the Libyan people."
