Tripoli, June 28, 2025 (LANA) – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has launched a new training program, "Ra'idat," targeting young Libyan women who aspire to play leadership roles and contribute effectively to their communities.

The year-long program aims to empower participants to express their opinions and engage effectively in public affairs, including political dialogue and decision-making processes.

The mission confirmed in a post on its official page that "Ra'idat" provides a safe and supportive space for young Libyan women to enhance their capabilities and expand their horizons of participation in various societal and national fields, as part of the United Nations' efforts to support the role of women in building Libya's future.
