Tripoli, June 25, 2025 (LANA) – The President of the Presidential Council and Supreme Commander of the Libyan Army, Mohamed Al-Mnifi, met today, Wednesday, in Tripoli, with a delegation of dignitaries, elders, and the Reconciliation Council in Greater Tripoli. This comes as part of his commitment to strengthening civil peace efforts and consolidating comprehensive national reconciliation, according to the Presidential Media Office.
The office reported that during the meeting, the delegation commended the responsible and balanced steps taken by His Excellency the President, most notably the formation of a committee dedicated to consolidating the ceasefire and activating security arrangements in the capital. They affirmed their full support for everything that would stem the bloodshed and remove the specter of chaos and fighting from Tripoli.
For his part, Al-Mnifi reiterated his commitment to moving forward in protecting the peaceful process and enhancing stability in the city. He emphasized that the Presidential Council will be consistent in reorganizing security in the capital. He emphasized that the Presidential Council will not tolerate anyone who dares to tamper with the security of the nation and its citizens. He affirmed his determination to end all irregular armed manifestations and work to impose the authority of the state and establish security and stability throughout the country.
