Tripoli, June 24, 2025 (LANA) – The Chairman of the High National Elections Commission, Emad Al-Sayeh, discussed today, Tuesday, with the Head of the Strategic Assessment Mission of the United Nations Mission in Libya, Daniela Koroslak, developments in the electoral process and the role played by the United Nations in providing technical and advisory support to the Commission.

The Commission's media office stated that this meeting comes within the framework of the United Nations and the international community's support for the electoral process in Libya, including assistance in managing operations, training cadres, and ensuring a safe electoral environment that encourages the participation of all target groups in the electoral process.

During the meeting, Koroslak praised the efforts made by the Commission in the completed stages of the electoral process, especially the municipal council elections.

She affirmed the United Nations' commitment to supporting Libya's democratic process by providing technical and logistical support to ensure the integrity and transparency of the elections and contribute to achieving stability and local development in the country.
