Tripoli, June 21, 2025 (LANA) - Members of the Presidential Council, Abdullah Al-Lafi and Musa Al-Koni, welcomed the convening of the International Follow-Up Committee on Libya in Berlin.
In a joint press statement, the two members emphasized the importance of the timing of this meeting, given the need to reactivate the political process and create a climate conducive to comprehensive national consensus.
They also expressed their appreciation for the statement issued by the co-chairs of the meeting, which supported UN efforts, emphasized Libyan-based solutions, rejected unilateral measures, and emphasized the priority of de-escalation and unification of institutions.
The statement indicated that the international community's interest in the work of the Advisory Committee and the proposals it produced, aimed at breaking the deadlock and enhancing opportunities for consensus, are positive. They emphasized the importance of continuing the broad national discussion on these tracks in a participatory and responsible spirit.
