Istanbul, June 21, 2025 (LANA) – The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Taher Al-Baour, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kolobayev Moldukanovic, on the sidelines of the (51) session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Istanbul.

The meeting addressed ways to develop bilateral relations between Libya and Kyrgyzstan. Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in various vital fields, which would contribute to supporting development and stability efforts in both countries.

The two sides also stressed the need to coordinate positions in international forums, serving the just causes of the Islamic nation and enhancing the effectiveness of joint action within the framework of the OIC.

The meeting also addressed the importance of continuing political consultations and strengthening channels of coordination and communication between the two countries, which would contribute to converging views on regional and international issues of common interest.

The two sides agreed on the importance of exchanging visits between official and technical delegations, with the aim of activating cooperation mechanisms and following up on the implementation of what has been agreed upon, which would contribute to deepening bilateral relations and strengthening partnerships across various sectors.
