Tripoli, June 21, 2025 (LANA) – The Ministry of Interior of the Government of National Unity stated that its security personnel were shot at Friday evening by an infiltrating group, which also used fireworks in an attempt to attack public property in the Janat al-Arif area.

The ministry stressed in a statement issued Friday night that it will spare no effort in protecting state property and will work resolutely to pursue those involved in the attack on security personnel and bring them to justice.

At the end of its statement, the ministry reiterated its full commitment to protecting the right to peaceful demonstration in public squares, in accordance with the law and applicable procedures, and in a manner that ensures the safety of citizens and respect for public order.
