Tripoli, June 20, 2025 (LANA) – In an unprecedented academic achievement, the University of Tripoli has entered the QS World University Rankings among the top 1,500 universities worldwide, marking its name as the first Libyan university to achieve this level of international recognition in the field of higher education.
This accolade is the result of the tireless efforts and tireless work of the university and its academic and administrative staff over the years to raise the level of academic performance and enhance quality standards and scientific research.
On this occasion, the National Program for Enhancing the International Competitiveness of Universities at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research extends its warmest congratulations to the presidency of the University of Tripoli and all its staff, praising their distinguished contributions to achieving this qualitative progress.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Government of National Unity affirmed its full support for Libyan universities in their journey towards excellence, expressing its aspiration for more national universities to be included in the international rankings in the coming years, thus reflecting the positive image of Libyan education on the international stage.
