LANA correspondent: The third edition of the Summer Meeting Festival concludes in the Qusayr area of Hun.

Hun, June 20, 2025 (LANA) – The third edition of the "Summer Encounter" festival concluded Thursday evening in the Qusayr area of Hun city, amidst a large audience of local residents and guests, in a festive atmosphere that blended entertainment, arts, and heritage.
The two-day festival featured a diverse array of artistic evenings and cultural activities, showcasing the region's rich folk heritage through heritage scenes that embodied traditional crafts such as palm fronds, date products, fashion, and jewelry, in addition to popular dishes, medicinal herbs, and decorative items for special occasions, especially weddings.
One segment of the festival featured a selection of traditional dishes, including the famous Tannour bread, "Tafrita," and summer vegetable stew with goat meat. It also featured popular sweets such as "Huni Cake," known locally as "yellow cake," as well as date paste mixed with "Ghamq" and milk. This scene reflects the warmth of Libyan hospitality and the authenticity of local customs, with the aim of strengthening the new generations' connection to their food culture.
At the conclusion of the festival, certificates of thanks and appreciation were distributed to participants and supporting public entities in appreciation of their efforts in making the events a success over the course of 48 hours of cultural and social interaction.
